Lot 121: Three UK 2017 Beatrix Potter Series Brilliant Uncirculated 50p Coins

Three United Kingdom 50p coins from the 2017 Beatrix Potter commemorative series, featuring the characters Peter Rabbit, Tom Kitten, and Benjamin Bunny. Struck in a silver-coloured cupro-nickel alloy, these heptagonal coins have plain edges. The reverse of the Peter Rabbit coin features the character in a garden setting with the inscription PETER RABBIT and a TM mark. The Tom Kitten coin depicts the character in a jacket with the inscription TOM KITTEN and the incised initials en for designer Emma Noble. The Benjamin Bunny coin shows the character wearing a tam-o’-shanter with the inscription BENJAMIN BUNNY and the initials en. The obverse of each coin features the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. Each coin is housed in an original navy blue card presentation folder with gold and white lettering that reads UNITED KINGDOM and 50p.
