Buyer's Premium:

A United Kingdom .500 silver crown, dated 1935, issued to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of King George V. The obverse features the left-facing, uncrowned portrait of the King with the legend GEORGIVS V D. G. BRITT: OMN: REX F. D. IND: IMP:. The reverse showcases an Art Deco-style depiction of Saint George on horseback slaying the dragon, designed by Percy Metcalfe (KM# 842). This specific design is widely known among collectors as the Rocking Horse crown. The inscriptions 1935 and CROWN are located in the upper left and lower fields respectively. The coin contains 0.4546 troy ounces of actual silver weight.


Condition report:

The specimen shows a dull grey patina consistent with circulation (photos 1 and 2). There is moderate wear to the high points of the portrait on the obverse, specifically in the hair and beard (photo 2). The reverse exhibits wear on the high points of the horse and the rider (photo 1). Numerous small contact marks and light surface scratches are visible across the fields on both sides (photos 1 and 2). No major edge knocks or significant damage is visible from the provided angles.
