Lot 10: A 2026 Scotland 999 Fine Silver Jersey-Shaped Commemorative Bullion Token
A 2026 Scotland 999 fine silver commemorative bullion token, struck in the form of a short-sleeved rugby jersey. The obverse is intricately decorated with a stamped pattern designed to resemble the texture of a modern sports jersey, featuring a lattice design interspersed with stylised thistle heads. The central area bears the word SCOTLAND in raised letters above the date 2026, with the legend NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 positioned above. A circular device is situated on the upper left chest, with a secondary crest to the upper right. The reverse of the piece features a flat, brushed finish. It is stamped with a square maker’s mark containing the letters P, U, R, E in a two-by-two grid, alongside the inscription 999 FINE SILVER. The item is preserved within a standard square cardboard coin mount with a circular transparent plastic window. No other maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible.

The token shows minor signs of handling and environmental exposure. The obverse displays light surface abrasions and contact marks, particularly to the raised lettering. The reverse exhibits fine surface scratches across the brushed finish. The piece is housed in a white cardboard 2x2 flip which shows minor creasing and edge wear.
