Lot 23: Germany Schwaben Reutlingen .999 Fine Silver 1 Ounce Bullion Bar
A German bullion bar of rectangular form. The obverse features a relief landscape of the Reutlingen city skyline, depicting various medieval towers, spires, and timber-framed buildings. A heraldic shield displaying an eagle is positioned in the upper left corner. The legend REUTLINGEN is struck in block capitals to the upper right. The reverse is divided by a central horizontal line; the upper portion displays the script SCHWABEN next to a shield-shaped device containing a stylised letter S. The lower portion is inscribed with the legends FEINSILBER 999 and 1 UNZE. The bar is struck with a raised outer border on both sides. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels other than the struck inscriptions are visible on the item.

Condition report:
The bullion bar shows signs of environmental exposure and handling. The obverse displays significant dark gold and brown toning across the field and relief details, with minor surface nicks to the raised outer rim. The reverse exhibits similar heavy toning and tarnish, particularly concentrated around the edges and lettering. There are some light surface contact marks to both sides. No protective capsule or original packaging is present.
