This lot comprises an assortment of Masonic regalia and memorabilia presented in a red textured carry case featuring metal framing and dual toggle latches. The set contains a presentation plaque in a black fitted case, featuring an engraved design of pillars and a checkered floor, inscribed TO KEN IN CELEBRATION OF 50 YEARS IN FREEMASONRY. WITH BROTHERLY LOVE AND AFFECTION FROM ALL THE BRETHREN OF THE LODGE OF STABILITY 7374. A blue fabric sash with braided trim carries several white metal bars, one of which is struck T. MCCAIN KAS 1985. The jewel is formed as a six-pointed star with arrows containing the letters O, X, and J, suspended from a yellow and purple ribbon in packaging marked LIGHT & B… BIRM… 021-356 8… 87. A pocket watch with a symbol-decorated face is suspended from a crescent mount and rainbow-coloured ribbon. Accompanying printed material includes BY-LAWS OF ARTISANS’ LODGE NO. 817, BY-LAWS OF ST. JOHN’S CHAPTER NO. 328 TORQUAY 1974, and BY-LAWS OF THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE FIRST PRINCIPALS’ CHAPTER NO. 3508. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the regalia.


Condition report:

The collection shows signs of handling and previous use. The presentation plaque has light surface scratches (photo 1). The blue fabric sash exhibits minor fraying to the edges and the white metal bars show light tarnishing (photo 2). The ribbons for the medals show slight edge fraying (photo 2). The printed booklets display toning and minor wear to the paper covers (photo 3). The exterior carry case has light scuffing and surface scratches to the metal components (photo 4).
