Lot 165: UK London 2012 Sports Collection 50 Pence Coins, Badminton and Table Tennis

This lot comprises a pair of UK heptagonal 50 pence coins from the LONDON 2012 SPORTS COLLECTION. Each white metal coin is of a standard heptagonal form. The first coin reverse depicts a shuttlecock over a net with the inscription 50 PENCE and the LONDON 2012 logo. It is housed in a green and magenta card folder printed with BADMINTON and LONDON 2012 SPORTS COLLECTION. The second coin reverse features a bat and ball over a net, inscribed 50 PENCE with the London 2012 Paralympic logo. This coin is presented in an orange and black card folder printed with TABLE TENNIS, PARALYMPIC GAMES, and LONDON 2012 SPORTS COLLECTION. The obverses are obscured by the card inserts. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
