Lot 85: Two Metal Novelty Items, a Cruiser Motorcycle and a Fuel Canister
This lot comprises two metal novelty items. The first is a figurine of a cruiser-style motorcycle, featuring a V-twin engine, a functional kickstand, and black plastic handlebars. The piece has a metallic finish. A single letter H is embossed on the left side of the fuel tank. The second item is a novelty lighter in the form of a military fuel canister, finished in green paint. The front face is embossed with a letter G at the top, a large X motif across the centre, and the letters U S at the base. The underside features two circular screw-in ports. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the items beyond the embossed characters.
Condition report:
The items show signs of handling and use. The motorcycle figurine exhibits rubbing and minor loss to the finish on high points and edges, with some accumulation of dust in the recessed areas of the engine. The fuel canister lighter shows significant paint chipping and loss, particularly along the raised edges, the base, and the embossed central X motif. There are areas of oxidation to the exposed metal surfaces. The mechanical functionality of the items is untested. No original packaging is present.
