Lot 92: A Zippo Pocket Lighter, New Zealand Flag Design
A pocket lighter of windproof form featuring a polished exterior finish. The front face is decorated with a screen-printed graphic depicting the New Zealand national flag, positioned beside vertically aligned blue text reading NEW ZEALAND. The interior insert comprises a chimney with circular perforations, a textured flint wheel, and a wick. The lighter is held within a black plastic presentation case. The top header of the case is embossed with a stylised brand logo reading ZIPPO ® and the text U.S.A. LIGHTER. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the lighter body.
Condition report:
The lighter shows signs of previous use and handling. Fine superficial scratches and fingerprints are visible across the polished metal surfaces (photo 1, photo 3). The screen-printed graphic appears intact with no visible losses. The internal wick is charred and frayed at the tip from previous ignition (photo 2). The plastic presentation case shows minor shelf scuffs and dust accumulation (photo 1). Supplied with the original black plastic case.
