Lot 17: An Oriental Themed Resin Chess Set with Matching Decorative Board

A set of thirty-two chess pieces with a matching square board. The pieces are cast in a molded resin composite material, featuring detailed traditional Chinese figures including scholars, warriors, and deities. One side is finished in a deep red cinnabar-style effect, while the opposing side is finished in a cream ivory-tone. The pieces are mounted on hexagonal bases and have green felt applied to the undersides. The accompanying square board features alternating red and cream squares. The red squares are decorated with an embossed Celtic knot motif in relief, and the border is finished with a continuous classical scrollwork relief pattern. No maker marks, labels, or signatures are visible.
