A Star Wars Saga Edition Chess Set manufactured by Parker Brothers under license from Lucasfilm Ltd. The set comprises thirty-two character-themed chess pieces and a folding game board. The pieces are constructed from moulded plastic with two distinct metallic finishes. The Light Side characters, representing the Republic and Rebel Alliance, are finished in a weathered silver-tone paint and include figures such as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and C-3PO, with Clone Troopers serving as pawns. The Dark Side characters, representing the Separatists and the Empire, are finished in a dark metallic blue-black paint and include Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader, Count Dooku, and Boba Fett, with Stormtroopers as pawns. The game board is made of folding laminated cardboard featuring the Star Wars logo and Imperial and Rebel motifs. The set is housed in its original retail packaging, which features a circular silver seal stating Individually Numbered 128272A Collector’s Edition. A copyright notice for Lucasfilm Ltd. and a barcode numbered 5035E0920 are present on the box.

The original cardboard box shows significant signs of shelf wear, including creasing, blunting to the corners, and crushing to the cardboard structure surrounding the central display window.
