Lot 49: A Set of Seven Vintage Babycham Glasses
This set of seven vintage glasses was manufactured for the British sparkling perry brand Babycham. Each glass is fashioned in the champagne coupe or saucer style, featuring a wide, shallow bowl set upon a slender stem and a circular foot. The bowls are decorated with a gold-gilt rim. Each glass displays a transfer-printed logo of the iconic Babycham mascot, a leaping yellow and white chamois wearing a blue and white striped scarf. The brand name BABYCHAM is printed in blue capital letters around the top of the circular foot. These pieces represent a classic mid-20th-century British promotional glassware design.
Condition report:
The set is in good vintage condition. No visible chips, cracks, or significant scratches are present on the glass. The transfer-printed logos remain bright and intact. The gold-gilt rims exhibit some minor, age-related thinning and wear in various places across the set, though the gilding remains largely complete. There is some minor surface dust and residue visible.
