Lot 18: UK 2025 King Charles III Silver 50 Pence Britannia Coin
A UK 2025 silver bullion coin, of circular form. The obverse features the left-facing portrait of King Charles III against a micro-dotted background, surrounded by the struck legend CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D · 50 PENCE. The reverse depicts a standing figure of Britannia in classical robes, holding a trident and a Union Jack shield, set against a wave-patterned background. The reverse is inscribed with the characters BRITANNIA 2025, a trident symbol, 1/4 OZ, and 999 FINE SILVER. The name NATHAN is visible in small characters at the base of the design. The coin features a milled edge. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.

Condition report:
The coin shows signs of handling and significant surface wear. The obverse displays numerous fine surface scratches, scuffs, and abrasions across the portrait of the monarch and the surrounding field (photo 2). The reverse exhibits similar wear, with scratches across the figure of Britannia and the wave-patterned background (photo 1). A small area of red-coloured residue or marking is visible on the bottom rim of the reverse side (photo 1). The coin is not accompanied by a protective capsule or original mint packaging.
