Lot 19: A Silver Slider Bead, cast in anatomical skull form
A silver slider bead, cast in the three-dimensional form of a human skull. The piece features detailed anatomical structures including hollowed orbital sockets, a nasal aperture, and a defined jawline with individual teeth. It is constructed with a large circular aperture passing vertically through the crown of the cranium to allow for use as a pendant or slider component. The exterior is primarily polished, with dark oxidation intentionally retained within the recessed facial features to accentuate the sculptural details. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The bead shows signs of handling and light surface wear. Fine surface scratches are visible across the polished cranium (photo 1). Natural oxidation and tarnishing are present within the recessed areas of the orbital sockets, nasal cavity, and teeth (photo 1). No significant dents or deformations are visible to the structure (photo 2). No original packaging or accessories are included.
