Lot 10: A 2009 Star Wars The Clone Wars US Gold Foil Novelty Note
A 2009 US novelty note of rectangular form, constructed from textured gold foil and themed after the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series. The obverse features an illustration of a clone trooper in red-marked armour alongside a corresponding toy minifigure. Legible printed legends include FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE, 100, GOLD 999999, H8, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS, and SERIES 2009 A, accompanied by the logo for STAR WARS THE CLONE WARS. A green Treasury-style seal and a Liberty Bell motif are also printed on the obverse. The reverse displays a montage of various minifigure characters and is inscribed with CHARACTER ENCYCLOPEDIA JOIN THE BATTLE!, 24K GOLD, ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS, and a secondary series logo. The note features a textured, metallic finish across both sides. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The novelty note is in uncirculated condition with no visible signs of handling or surface wear (photo 1). The edges and corners appear sharp and are free from creasing, tears, or impact damage (photo 2). The textured gold foil surface remains uniform with no visible oxidation or loss to the printed elements (photo 3).
