Lot 9: UK 2012 London 2012 Paralympic Archery 50 Pence Coin
A UK 2012 commemorative 50 pence coin, heptagonal in form and presented in a graphic card. The reverse of the metal coin features a relief design of an archer’s hand drawing a bowstring with an arrow. The LONDON 2012 Paralympic logo is struck at the bottom of the reverse field, with the inscription 50 PENCE around the upper edge. The obverse is obscured by the packaging. The coin is mounted into a card printed with an orange and purple geometric pattern and the text ARCHERY, LONDON 2012 SPORTS COLLECTION, and the Paralympic Games logo. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The coin is in brilliant uncirculated condition, retaining full original mint lustre with no visible contact marks, toning, or environmental damage to the reverse. The obverse cannot be inspected as it is sealed within the packaging. The original presentation card is intact, showing only very minor shelf wear at the corners. The coin remains in its original protective retail card.
