Lot 105: A Zippo Canada Maid of the Mist II Pocket Lighter with Box
A Zippo pocket lighter, featuring a rectangular metal case with a brushed finish. The front of the case is decorated with a screen-printed graphic depicting a tour boat in front of a waterfall, with text reading MAID OF THE MIST II. Below this graphic, the text states NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO / CANADA. The lighter is equipped with a hinged lid, a circular-hole windproof chimney, a knurled flint wheel, and a white wick with wire reinforcement. The lighter is housed in a black plastic display case. The top of the case features a raised gold-tone ZIPPO logo. A silver adhesive label on the front edge of the case reads 250 MAID OF THE MIST. No hallmark or fineness marks are visible on the metal case.
Condition report:
The lighter shows signs of previous use and handling. The external metal case displays light surface scuffing and minor scratches throughout (photo 1). The screen-printed graphic remains largely intact. The interior of the chimney shows carbon residue and soot buildup (photo 2). The wick is charred and shows signs of previous ignition (photo 2). The flint wheel exhibits carbon deposits between the teeth (photo 2). The plastic display box shows light dust and handling marks. The item is provided in the original black plastic display box.
