Lot 142: Two Guinness Draught Pint Glasses in Original Retail Packaging
This lot comprises two pint glasses, each with individual branding and original retail boxes. The first vessel is of tulip form, decorated with a gold-tone harp emblem positioned between the digits 17 and 59, above the printed words GUINNESS and DRAUGHT. This glass is housed in a white cardboard box bearing the text THE GLASS and TAKE THE GUINNESS EXPERIENCE HOME, with an inventory sticker to the top flap reading 1252. The second vessel is of conical form, featuring a white harp logo above the text GUINNESS and DRAUGHT. It is presented in a black cardboard box printed with a white dotted line motif and the words PERFECTIONIST KIT, with a sticker to the top reading 2521. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the base of either glass.
Condition report:
Both glasses appear to be in good condition. The white retail box shows light shelf wear including minor creasing to the edges and corners. The black retail box exhibits more moderate wear with scuffing to the edges and printed surfaces, particularly noticeable along the dotted line graphic (Photo 1 and 2). Both original boxes are present.
