Lot 101: A USA Zippo Windproof Lighter with Australian Flag Emblem
A USA Zippo windproof lighter of rectangular form featuring a polished metal casing. The front face is decorated with an adhesive rectangular emblem of the Australian national flag, with the word AUSTRALIA transcribed in blue block capitals along the base of the design. The lighter is housed in a black textured plastic display stand, which is marked USA at the top edge and features the ZIPPO logo with a flame icon and registered trademark symbol on the front face. The internal mechanism includes a knurled striking wheel and a perforated chimney housing a fibrous wick. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the base of the lighter casing.
Condition report:
The lighter shows signs of environmental exposure and handling. The interior striking wheel and chimney exhibit soot accumulation and minor surface oxidation (photo 1). The wick appears charred (photo 1). The exterior metal casing displays multiple light surface scratches and fingerprints (photo 2 and photo 3). The plastic display stand is intact with minor surface dust (photo 3).
