Lot 102: A Zippo Harley-Davidson Pocket Lighter with Original Packaging
A Zippo pocket lighter, featuring a polished white metal body and a raised decorative relief emblem. The relief emblem on the front face depicts a stylised zipper opening to reveal a central shield and an eagle motif. The emblem bears the inscribed legend MOTOR HARLEY-DAVIDSON CYCLES. The lighter is accompanied by a white metal storage tin with a black foam-lined interior and a black cardboard outer box. The tin lid features an embossed orange and black logo reading MOTOR HARLEY-DAVIDSON CYCLES, with the side of the tin stamped ZIPPO. The cardboard outer box is printed with the brand name ZIPPO, the slogan IT WORKS OR WE FIX IT FREE., and a circular seal reading OFFICIAL LICENSED PRODUCT. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item beyond the manufacturer’s branding and licensed product seals.
Condition report:
The lighter shows signs of light handling and surface wear. Fine surface scratches and scuffing are visible on the polished surface of the lighter lid (photo 1). The relief emblem remains securely attached with no visible losses to the design. The metal presentation tin shows minor marks to the exterior. The cardboard outer box exhibits shelf wear and edge rubbing (photo 1). The set is complete with the original protective tin and cardboard box.
