Lot 103: A Zippo Windproof Lighter, Embossed Native American Motif and Original Box
A Zippo windproof pocket lighter featuring a metal case with a gold-toned finish. The exterior displays a raised, embossed motif of a Native American chief wearing a traditional feathered headdress, surrounded by a wreath and accompanied by a tomahawk, a peace pipe, and crossed arrows at the base. The lighter is fitted with a matching gold-toned internal insert, a perforated metal chimney, and a textured striking wheel. The original green textured presentation box features a black velvet-lined interior. The lid is printed with the word ZIPPO in gold-toned characters, incorporating a stylised flame symbol and a registered trademark symbol ®. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the base of the lighter.
Condition report:
The lighter appears to be in unused condition and is housed in its original packaging. The internal wick is clean and shows no evidence of lighting. Minor surface oxidation and light wear are visible on the internal metal chimney and the cam mechanism (photo 1). The embossed metal case and the presentation box show no significant signs of wear. The original presentation box is included.
