Lot 2: A Guinness 250th Anniversary Commemorative Limited Edition Gift Tin Set
A commemorative breweriana gift set produced in 2009 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Guinness brewery. The set is housed in a rectangular lithographed tin finished in black and gold, featuring the iconic Guinness harp logo and printed text including LIMITED EDITION, ESTD 1759, and ORIGINAL COMMEMORATIVE LABEL. The interior contains a black flocked plastic insert form-fitted to hold three components: a 330ml bottle of Guinness Original Stout with a heritage-style paper label, a clear glass tulip-shaped pint glass decorated with the GUINNESS ORIGINAL logo, and a circular bottle opener featuring the 250 REMARKABLE YEARS branding. No maker’s marks or country-of-origin labels are visible on the exterior or interior components.
Condition report:
The lithographed tin shows signs of handling and storage, with minor surface scuffs and light scratches to the black finish, particularly around the edges and corners. A small indentation is visible on the lower-left front face of the tin. The interior contents, including the bottle, glass, and opener, appear in unused condition; the bottle remains factory sealed and the glass is clear. The black flocked insert shows a minor accumulation of lint and dust.
