Collectables and ephemera are where our general sales get really varied: stamp albums and postcard collections, boxes of vinyl, football programmes, enamel signs, pub mirrors and advertising tins. These are lots that reward a good look at viewing, which is why our regulars turn up on weekdays between 09:30 and 15:00 in the run-up to every Wednesday sale, and why our online bidders read the condition reports carefully.
Much of this material comes to us through house clearances and estates, often in job lots. Where a collection deserves it, we will split it into individual lots to get the best return; where it does not, we will say so and sell it sensibly as a box lot.
